Become an agent for peace. We believe in the promotion of peace, positive thinking and spreading good vibes through creative initiatives.

It all started in November of 2007 when artist Urbano shot a photograph of his hand making the peace sign against the backdrop of Manhattan. The photo, with its message of peace, tolerance and gritty urban hope, found its way into the permanent collection of the 9/11 Museum.

Soon it became clear to Manuel (Urbano) and me that this image could be a rallying point for people like us, people who believe in the power of thoughtful creative expression to sow the seeds of change in the world. And so, Agents for Peace was born.

Recipes for Peace is the first of our projects. It is a book of recipes that all have one thing in common, that their creators believe in the power of the alchemy that changes a simple group of ingredients into a meal that not only fills our bellies but nourishes our hearts and minds as well.  What’s your recipe for peace?
